SA Government Explains Why You Need a Qualified Electrician

You should always use a qualified electrician to carry out electrical installations, rather than trying to do the work yourself. According to The Government of South Australia‚Äôs website, carrying out the work without proper training is illegal and very dangerous.

Licensed electricians like we at GESA have the equipment and knowledge we need to carry out electrical work safely. Upon completion, we will also give you an Electrical Certificate of Compliance. Insurance companies may not cover damages resulting from work carried out but by unlicensed individuals.
It is important to call GESA as soon as there are signs of problems. This could be damage to wiring or outlets or nuisance tripping of circuit breakers.
Signs of more serious problems are if you turn on an appliance and the lights dim or you get a light tingle or shock from touching an electrical appliance.
Our technicians can show their license before being asked to carry out work. Their certificate of compliance is also legally due within 30 days of the work being completed.
All our staff also carries National Police Clearance and Catholic Clearance.
